Most beach finds reveal themselves in the band of sand uncovered between mid and low tide. On oceans and tidal rivers, NOAA predicts highs and lows up to two years out. The Great Lakes don't have astronomical tides, but their water levels still rise and fall with weather, wind and seasonal melt — we show hourly observations there instead.
